{ 6 months - 4 looks! }

In July 2010 we moved into a new apartment in Los Angeles. Yesterday, I was looking at some of the pictures that I´ve taken while we lived there, and it made me realise that I´ve changed the colors quite often.
When we moved into this apartment in July I decorated the living room in turquoise and white. When I look at the pictures again now, I like the delicate and fresh look these two colors give. LA is very hot in the summer, and it´s nice to have colors that cools it all down.
 After a couple of months I got tired of the turquoise, and changed it to beige. This color also fit well with white, and it gave the living room a touch of autumn - just what I wanted.
Late autumn I needed a color change again, and this time I added purple and grey to all the white. Simply by changing some pillow covers and adding flowers to the candles, the livingroom got a new look.
In Nov/Des. I needed a change again, and this time I decorated the living room in black, white and grey. Even though these are cool colors, I think the depth of the dark colors give a cosiness together with wooden details and lots of candles.
I think this is the look that I want to start off with when we move into our new apartment in Norway in January.

If you want to see more of our home in LA, you can see it here and at my Stylizimo profile here.

Do you change the look of your living room often?

{ 10 different living rooms }

Since I´m moving soon, I think a lot about how I will decorate our living room. There are thousands of ways to decorate a living room, and many different styles.
Here you have 10 living rooms that are very pretty, but very different as well.
 Which living room do YOU see yourself live in?
Although I like many of these living rooms , my favorites are the "Natural" and the "Relaxed" and the "Modern"one.

Later I will show you some thoughts around how I will decorate in our new apartment. Planning is almost as fun as decorating *smile*.

{ Living with nature }

Now that winter is here in Norway, it´s good to have a warm and cosy home. By bringing nature and knitting into our homes, we bring cosiness right away...

I´m now knitting a pillow cover for our new apartment and I´m almost done. I will show you a picture of it when it´s done.

Have you brought any nature and/or knitting into your home?

{ White as snow }

So how did your Christmas tree turned out this year?
If I had a tree, it would look something like this. I like it simple and clean...
This wonderful, white Christmas home is such a eye candy - I love it!

{ Lazy days & KitchenAid }

Hello everybody! How is your Christmas so far? Did any of your wishes come true this year?
I got a KitchenAid mixer and a lot of other nice presents that I wished for, so I´am very, very happy! I´m now enjoying lazy days at my mom´s place - knitting and eating candy(!)
I can´t wait to move into the new apartment in Oslo the 6th of January. It feels like a very long time to wait, but I hope time flies fast. I really don´t appreciate to live out of suitcases!!

Today´s inspiration is from Green Gate. I think their collection is perfect for both Christmas and for everyday use - very cosy and cute.

Thank you so much for all your Christmas greetings on my previous post. I truly appreciate all your sweet comments.

Enjoy good days!

{ Merry Christmas! }

Christmas eve is getting closer and I hope all of you have everything under control. I have a couple of presents left, but hopefully I will be done today so I have time to relax and enjoy this lovely time of the year.

 My good friend Cecilie from "Cecilie´s Lykke" and I had a great time baking different sweets for Christmas last Saturday, and I thought I could show you some pictures. Her home is very beautiful and cosy, so we had the perfect surroundings when we baked...
With these pictures
I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas!
A few days early, but I don´t want to spend my last days before Christmas in front of my computer, and neither should you. This is a time we should spend with family and good friends.
 ( me )

I hope all your wishes will be fulfilled, and that you have a cheerful Christmas.
I look forward to read your blogs and see what you all got from Santa this year :)

xoxo
