{ DIY: Sofa with chaise lounge }

A while back I promised you that I would show you my DIY couch down in the basement. I still need some more pillows for it, and I intend to sew some in the same fabric as the couch, but I guess you will get the idea without the pillows as well... So here we go: My DIY chaise lounge sofa....

Since it´s a wooden frame in the mattress, you can attach the legs to the frame. Same with the fabric - you just staple it to the wooden frame, underneath the mattress.. Very easy actually *smile*

So if you need an affordable sofa with chaise lounge, you should try out this DIY. There are a lot of nice furniture fabrics and legs out there to choose from, so the sky is your limit....

Happy Tuesday everyone! I´m going to a Christmas concert today, and are therefore in a extra good mood. I hope your day will be fabulous as well...

Håper du koser deg i adventsdagene. :)

  31. Amazing! i'm definitely going to try this! By, chance, where did you get the mattresses from and what type were they?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am also curious as to what type of mattress you used. Are you referring to the box spring? I can't find any mattresses which have an internal frame which also contain coils and padding. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  33. What a fantastic job! I am very much looking to make the same! And I have the same question as above: what matresses have a wooden frame?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Maaike: I´m not sure what they sell in the country where you live, but we often have two or tree mattresses above each other, and the one in the bottom is often with a wooden frame. This isn´t a mattress I would sleep on, but it works perfectly as a sofa.. I only bought the bottom mattress, and I bought a cheap one as well, since we´re not going to sleep on it.

I hope you will find something similar.
    Best,
    Nina

  35. Hi. I'm from Canada and just came across your site .... love it! Beautiful decorating ideas and much more! Loved the DIY sofa/chaise. A question ... is your sofa table/coffee table pictured in front of your sofa home crafted? Love it!!! Is it made from beachwood or reclaimed timber? I'd love to have any information you could provide on it.

    1. Thank you :)
The table is made of reclaimed wood from China. It´s bought at a Norwegian store called Home&Cottage.

  36. Where do you find the mattresses with the wooden frame inside? I'm dying to do this project but having a hard time finding the mattresses. Are they specifically named for the type?
