Have you ever made Easter eggs?

{ Easter decoration }
Easter is coming up, and some of you probably want to start a bit early with the decoration. A tree like this is an easy and very decorative way to bring Easter into your home. This is also a great activity you can do with with your children. I remember I made eggs like these when I was young, and it was very fun. I actually think my mother has some of the eggs still....

{ White and beautiful }
In a small town of Charlottenlund just north of Copenhagen the Danish designer Nina Kejser and her Italian husband Mario Iadanza live in this delightful, modern home. I find their apartment very inspiring and hopefully it will inspire you too...
I think their mix of a modern and a romantic style is perfect together. It creates a warmer and cosier atmosphere even though almost everything is white. It´s often easier to combine more styles if you stick to one color like they to here.
I wish I were as organized as they are - I would love to have a closet looking like this, wouldn´t you? An inspirationboard is also a great idea to have in your walk-in-closet so you can get inspired before you get dressed.
All the rooms are so calm and serene, and they kind of tell a story.... Just by looking at their home, you get the feeling that it is nice people that lives there... I love when the home says something about you!
Do you like this apartment? Do you see anything in particular that you like?

{ My spring balcony }
Now that it´s getting warmer outside, I´ve moved some of the furniture I have used inside out on the balcony so I can enjoy the sun. Since we are only renting for a short period of time I find this as a good alternative, and shows that you don´t necessarily have to spend a lot of money to create your own cosy little place in the sun.
The flower is a gift from a dear friend. A hint of color is all I need to get in spring-mood...*smile*
Wish you a wonderful day!

So what do you think? Do you like what you see?
Does anyone know if they have a dealer here in Oslo, Norway btw?
Happy new everyone!

{ Table setting - Welcome friends }
On Tuesday I had some girls over for dinner, and I snapped some photos of the table setting before they arrived. I added some extra details to the table so they would feel welcome and to create a good atmosphere. I love to set a pretty table when I have guests over, even though it´s only a regular weekday and tacos is on the menu. *smile*
I made a welcome card that I placed next to the wineglass using black cardboard and DYMO tape, and around the cutlery I knot a loop of twine.
I added white flowers and some pastel blue-turquoise napkins to make the table look fresh.
These pictures are my contribution for Nille´s table setting competition. Read more about it here. (In Norwegian)
You can view more photos of the table setting here if you like.
I would love to get some more ideas on how to set the table for later occasions, so if you have any pictures of table settings that you want to share, please upload them on Stylizimo.com so we can inspire each other.

{ Spring on the balcony }
Now that it´s getting warmer outside I automatically start thinking about the outside area. Many of us only have a little balcony and although it´s small there are a lot of ways we can decorate it. I´ve gathered some alternatives that might give you some inspiration...
Flowers and some lovely pillows really do wonders to both small and larger places.
Have a lovely day, dear readers! It´s a sunny day here in Oslo today, and I´m enjoying every second of it. Maybe I should decorate our balcony? *smile*
Reminding you all that I have a giveaway going on this week. You can´t read more about it and enter here.

{ Those "little things"... }
I like when I find those little details that stands out. Things you might need without knowing it before you see it *smile*. Things you find adorable, smart or funny - those little things that make your home more characteristic.
(Images: Not on the high street)
I think these "look a like" tin cans are very cool. The aluminium one would of gotten me fooled.
What about getting your coffee/tea cup wrapped in soft lambswool cosy with a horn button.
Write on a ceramic notepad with a dry wipe marker or with china pencils and use it again and again...
Easter is coming up - do you have cute animals like these to hold your eggs warm?
Anything you like?

{ Blogger`s Day of Silence }
As many other bloggers, I will be joining "Blogger´s Day of Silence" tomorrow the 18th to put focus on Japan and all the people that are affected by this tragic incident. It´s devastating to see the images in the media from the earthquake and tsunami these days, and can´t imagine what the people of Japan are going through.
You can find more information about "Blogger´s Day of Silence" here.
For Japan, with love...
xo,
Nina

{ PIP brings joy! }
I have mentioned Pip studio before and I´m sure many of you are familiar with this colorful brand already. There is something about spring that is giving me an urge to add more color in my home, and PIP Studio is one of many that can help me with this. Let´s get inspired by happy colors today!
I have put together a collage of things that I wish for this spring. My heart melts when I see beauty like this. Lucky for me that I have my birthday in April *smile*
What do you think of PIP Studio? Does their collection make you happy as well?
Parts of their collection are probably "a little to much" for my apartment, but I love their collection anyway and I enjoy just by looking at beautiful pictures like these.
I wish you a HAPPY day!

{ DIY: "Tips" }
A few weeks back when I was visiting a friend, I noticed she had this cool "tips-can" next to her coffee machine. She told me that she made it out of a can of tomatoes, and I knew right away that I wanted to make a similar one as it´s a fun and decorative way to save some hard earned money.
This is a very easy "do it yourself" project and the only thing that I did was to remove the paper around the can as well as the lid and the contents. Afterwards, I typed "TIPS" with my Dymo machine.
On this particular can I added some Japanese tape to hide some minor damage that my can opener made, but this shouldn´t be necessary if your opener works well. *smile*

Notice the cool black and white painting/drawing by the dining table. It gives such character to the room, don´t you agree?
This have to be the first time I have seen a grandfather clock look so cool.

Have a great day, everyone!
