{ Ready for guests }

Today we´re having some friends over for dinner and as I´ve told you before, I like to set the table the day before so I can enjoy it and have time for experimenting. I ended up sewing myself two table runners as well, and I´m quite happy with the result. Here you have a little sneak peak of the table setting until it´s all done. I´ll show you more pictures in the week to come.

I also went out in the woods to pick some of these white lovely flowers that we call "Hvitveis" here in Norway. I don´t know if there´s even a name for this flower in English, but if it is, please tell me.

Have a lovely weekend darlings. Do you have any exciting plans?

{ Pink on the balcony }

A few touches of pink gives the balcony a summery feeling. We have amazing weather here in Oslo at the moment, which means that it´s time to buy some more flowers for the balcony. I started with this pink one for now, but there will be more soon...

I´m also thinking about getting more furniture for the balcony, so it´s possible to eat dinner outside etc. My plan is to build a table like I did for my kitchen a few months ago. I´ll show you when it´s all done. In the meanwhile I will enjoy my little round table and the old chairs.

What are your plans with the outside area this year? Have you started buying flowers yet?

But it´s even better to come home and see that everything has become much greener outside than before I left. Oh joy - I love this season!

I´m off to buy some flowers for our balcony today, but first I had to wish you all a lovely day this last day of Easter.

{ My easter tree }

Do you remember the Easter eggs I made the other day? Now I have hung them on a hazel-twig in the kitchen to get the true Easter spirit in the house. I just love this hazel-twig and I am so happy I found a way to use it for my Easter decorations.

In addition to the other eggs, I've made an egg with a butterfly by using a stamp.  I think it turned out pretty cute. Stamps are a great way to add small details on pretty much anything, and eggs seems to be no exception *smile*.

So are you ready for Easter yet? What kind of decoration do you have this year?

{ DIY: Easter eggs }

I really enjoyed making Easter decorations this weekend. I had almost forgotten how much fun it is to make Easter eggs. There are of course countless ways to decorate eggs, but this time I decorated some of them with my blue napkins using the technique "decoupage" and some using ribbon and pearls.

Typically I decorate for Easter with yellow colors but I thought I'd try something different this year. I have therefore chosen to use colors that can be found in our apartment to create a better blend between the Easter decoration and the rest. As you can see from my previous post from our living room, I have added a touch of blue in our apartment so the eggs got the same treatment as well.

What technique are you planning to use on your Easter eggs this year?

Have a great new week everyone!

{ Waiting for Easter }

I think I will start planning my Easter decorations this weekend. I´m going away this Easter, so I have to decorate a bit early so I can enjoy it before we go away...

How do you decorate for Easter? Are you planning to make anything yourself this year? I would love if you would share some of your ideas/pictures on Stylizimo.com so we can inspire each other.

Happy weekend everyone! I hope you will have sunny days.

{ DIY: Make your own candle }

White block candles can sometimes be a bit boring. So if you remember my post this Christmas where I pimped up a white candle simply by melting a napkin onto it, I did the same with my new "Tine K Home" napkins, which fits perfect with my new blue living room.

( Remember: Candles require attention - all the time!  )

With Easter coming up, maybe you can make some nice candles for your table setting? I think I will do that myself.

Happy Thursday to you all!

{ Blue in the living room }

I promised you that I would show you some more pictures after my little spring makeover in my living room, and here they are. As you can see, I´ve added hints of blue to bring more colors to our normally colorless living room...

I´ve also put the sofa back to where it was the first time as I need change every now and then. By moving some of the furniture I feel that I get a whole new living room. Do you do this often?

My little dog "Conrad" is posing for his mama. I didn´t have the heart to move him when I was taking this picture. The couch is his favorite spot.

I think blue gives a great contrast to our brownish sofa and our otherwise white/grey living room. It feels so much more fresh and serene after adding these hints of blue.

Well, I guess you have every angle of our living room now *smile*, but if you feel like seeing more you can click here.

What colors are you going for this spring?

Thank you so very much for all your greetings on my post yesterday - you are all sweethearts!

{ Stylizimo in "Rom 1-2-3" }

I always nice to get some love from the magazines out there, so when the Norwegian magazine "Rom 1-2-3" asked if they could profile my Scrabble DIY project I was very happy.

It´s been a while since I did this Scrabble picture, so it was fun to dig it out from the archive again. I have actually been thinking about making some more of these, but finding the Scrabble letters here in Norway have proven to be more difficult than I thought. Anyone have some good ideas where to find wooden tiles like these?

You will find the article in the April issue of Rom 1-2-3, but I am not sure if it is out yet. However,  luckily I got a magazine in the mail today so I can give you all a little peak.

Rie Elise Larsen summer collection is filled with cute things with happy colors for your home. You should definitely take a look at the rest of their collection on their website - it´s such a joyful collection!

{ Blue and fresh! }

I need some change, and blue is a color that I get drawn to when it´s getting brighter outside. I have redecorated my living room a bit and I have now used blue to bring some color into it. I will show you some pictures of it next week, but here you have a peek of the details...

I´ve bought myself some new cups and napkins from Tine K yesterday - I love this pale blue!

Today I´m going away to Gothenburg, Sweden for a little weekend trip and I´m really excited! Hopefully I ´ll find some new clothes for my spring wardrobe - I really need it.

What are you doing this weekend?

Whatever you are going to do, enjoy it!
