Expecting guests this Easter?

Are you planning on having guests this Easter, and may need some tips on how to set the table? I've already shown you a way to set the Easter lunch table, but this time I have decorated a dinner table.
I need some time to sort my pictures and do some editing, but here you have a little sneak peek of the Easter table setting in our living room...

Inspiring webshop

Not long ago I wrote about Heidi as I love her home which she shares with us on Stylizimo.com. I also mentioned that she recently has started a new webshop called Hallingstad. I had to browse there again yesterday, and I have to say that I love everything that she offers in her delightful shop. Her taste is definitely my cup of tea, and since she is such a talented stylist she knows exactly how to make everything look tempting.

Therefore I think Heidi´s webshop is not only a great place to shop, it´s also a wonderful place to get inspired by her beautifully styles pictures so you can see how you can style it all together.

Featured in STUDIO Magazine!

In the latest issue of the Norwegian magazine STUDIO you will find two whole pages where there is an interview with me, along with some pictures of my fiancé´s home office. Oh, joy!

The article is about creative walls, and the girls from NIB who made the article, wanted to feature our concrete wallpaper wall in my fiancé´s home office. Two other walls that are featured in the same article are Connie and Krista's wonderful walls.

H&M Home - Get the easter style!

Have you seen H&M Easter collection this year? It´s simply lovely with its clean modern look! Here you have a little selection of my favorites...

 

The best thing about it is that you can use most of it outside Easter as well. Yellow is a wonderful color to add sunshine into your home. It´s also a great combination with black, white, grey and beige... Which I know many of you already have... *smile*

Table setting: Easter lunch

I don´t know if it's because I was born at Easter, or whether it´s because Easter-time is the start of a wonderful period, that I like Easter so much. It has always been one of my favorite holidays. Our home is slowly getting decorated for Easter, and the same goes for the table setting. There is so much fun to set a table when you have a theme.
Here you have a little peek of the Easter lunch table setting I did today.

The cute little bird pins and the brown paper bag are from Heart Handmade´s Etsy shop. Unfortunately it seems like she don´t have them any more...

I decorated the eggs by gluing golden and silverish pearls on. It actually turned out quite cute I think.. *smile*

Hello! I´m now back from my vacation, and are happy be in front of my computer again sharing inspiration with you. I love all the photos that you have shared on Stylizimo while I was gone btw. Today I want to share some photos that got straight to my heart when I saw them on Stylizimo.com today! Lill Carlott have shared some lovely spring photos from her living room decorated with blue and grey details. These pictures brought out a true spring feeling in me, and I hope they will do the same for you..

I love the serene, simple look blue and grey give her living room. As well as I love the cute details on her homemade coffee table.

Easter DIY

Hi, I´m Sibylle from Funkytime! Since Nina is on holiday, I'm happy to take over for the day. I have two Easter Decor DIY's for you, which can each be done in less than 5 minutes!

All you need is:

♡ Floral Foam

♡ Moss

♡ Candles

♡ IKEA 's FÄRGRIK Mug

♡ Styrofoam eggs

♡ White plate

♡ Feathers

♡ White & Brown eggs

Just cut the floral foam to the right size, heat the bottom of the candle and glue it with wax on to the foam, add moss on top and eggs. Voila!

And for those, who neither have time nor the talent to create beautiful easter eggs, just keep it plain and simple!

Heart Handmade UK - Craft spaces

Today I´m excited to present a guestblogger here on Stylizimo, as I´m on a vacation for a few days myself.  Claire from Hearthandmadeuk is a lovely woman I´ve been following for a long time now - she writes about the most gorgeous things, mostly related to crafting. I have therefore asked her if she would like to share some inspiration with you in my absence.

Hello ladies! My name is Claire from "Hearthandmadeuk"! It is an absolute honour to be here on Stylizimo blog while Nina is on vacation! Today I wanted to share something with you that ALWAYS inspires me and motivates me (most of the time) to organise and have a tidy craft room. Recently I found some images that have made me want to do some more decorating! So off we go!

I featured this lovely sewing room on my own blog at the beginning of 2012 as I believe it is quintessentially British in its lovely floral style and it is great inspiration for me to organise my fabrics for sewing and selling on my vintage fabric shop. I´ve actually decided to spend either £130 in Ikea or £55 in Ikea! depending on whether or not I go for drawers or dividers.. I can't decide :)

I also need a desk (like the amazing photos of Facil y Sencillos craft room above) Badly. My current set up in my own craft room is that my little work space also (rarely) doubles as a spare bedroom for guests. So my chair is a sofa bed and my desk is a rather small folding picnic table. It's a very small space so I'm actually now contemplating removing a Billy bookcase and getting some nifty handwork going.. although I'm not sure who my carpenter will be!

This is my (wee) work space! It is such a small space I don't actually have the room to stand back and take a decent photo! lol My camera lens isn't wide enough but I might get some cell phone photographs when I tidy up. Because currently it looks like it has imploded.

This genius idea comes from Martha Stewart.. of course. How could it not? The woman is a genius. I love it!! I wish that I was a DIY wood working marvel. I would have the most amazing craft space. Seriously. I´m not though. Not at all! I may need a drop leaf table if my other carpentry endeavours don't work out! You can follow me and my makeover progress (which will be slow I do warn you) on my blog.

Spring in the living room

A few flowers are all it takes to get a little spring feeling in the house. Flowers always get me in an extra good mood, and spring flowers have an extra effect on me...

Stylizimo loves: Spring table setting

Today I want to share a beautiful table setting that Kelly shared with us on Stylizimo.com yesterday. I immediately fell in love with this lovely spring theme, and though it could be a nice inspiration now that the weekend is coming up, and some of you might are having guests over for dinner.

I love the combination of green, yellow and white. They are so fresh together and give me a true spring feeling. Actually, it makes me think of Easter! These are the in fact the colors that I intend to use in this years Easter decoration.

Easter decorations

Have you started thinking about your Easter decorations yet? Some of you might think that it´s a bit early, but if you are making your decorations yourself, as I will, it´s nice to have some extra time doing it. This way you can enjoy the whole process. A perfect weekend DIY?

Last year I made these blue eggs, and stupid as I was I threw them all away then Easter was over. Why?! Anyway, my plans is to use other colors this year, so I guess I wouldn´t have used them anyway.

Design love: Hans J. Wegner

Did you know that Hans J. Wegner is considered one of the most creative and productive Danish furniture designers of all time? His passion for designing chairs, more than 500 of them, is recognized worldwide and reflected in his title 'the Master of the Chair'. But Wegner was more than a furniture designer; he also mastered the art of lightning design, and this is clearly demonstrated by his design of the ceiling lamp 'The pendant'.

Furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & Son and lighting manufacturer Pandul have now agreed to an international agreement on sales and distribution of Hans J. Wegner's lamp designs. Through this collaboration, both companies have the opportunity to exhibit Wegner´s design from floor to ceiling - an alliance that is true to Wegner's design philosophy, as he liked to design integrated solutions.
Great news, right?

Moroccan Style - warm and cozy

Moroccan style is hotter than ever, and you´ll see a lot of it in stores these days. West Elm is no exception, they have a fabulous selection of Moroccan style right now, and I love what I see. This is a warm and cozy style that I like a lot.

Who wouldn´t want that gorgeous Moroccan Wedding Blanket?

I wish I had many homes, so I could have all the different styles that I love. Wouldn´t that be fantastic? One of them would definitely be a Moroccan home.

Here I am - this is me!

It often takes time until you feel that you've got it the way you want it in your home. To find the look that reflects you, that calms you and you really feel comfortable in. Right now I have "found myself" in our living room. Black & white, wise words on the wall, green plants to soften it all up, and a cozy couch with lots of pilows.

NIB has a challenge this month where they ask us to show a personal interior photo that is really YOU, and this is my contribution. This is a place that I feel very comfortable in, and that reflects the style that is really ME and that I truly like.
One may then ask: Is this my fiancè? * smile *

Ready for some inspiration from Stylizimo.com today?
It´s actually hard to choose which photos to feature each Thursday, because there are so many nice ones that I want to share with you.
