House of Oslo´s exhibitions are ready!

What a lot of fun Silje and I had yesterday styling three of House of Oslo´s exhibitions. The shopping center has a lot of goodies to choose from, and it was difficult to narrow it down, but we are very pleased with the end result.

 "Display 1"

Notice the "DIY clothespins - butterflies" we have made for each display case. I´ll show you later what we did to make them..

And thank you so much to "House of Oslo" for asking Stylizimo to do your exhibitions for June.

House of Oslo - Summer styling

After a long, relaxing weekend with a lot of sun, barbecuing and bathing it´s time to head back to House of Oslo and do some styling...

My friend, Silje, will be doing the styling with me, and we have been planning this weekend on how we want it. The theme is Summer and this is the moodboard for one of the exhibitions. I promise to take some photos of all three of them and show you the end results.
Looking forward to a fun day!

Wish you all a beautiful day!

Golden hour

Today I´m heading to Oslo and House of Oslo to plan a styling that I´m doing for them next week. The theme will of course be Summer and I´m excited to plan what items and colors to use. I´ll tell you more about it later..

Our terrace is starting to get complete. If you remember the moodboard I made, I had a golden sequin pillow that has been on my wishlist for about a year now. It´s a bit expensive, but know that I have it, it´s worth ever penny. I love it!
If someone wonders: the pillow is bought at Hviit.no.

Enjoy your weekend!

Blog Meetup at Comfort

Yesterday I attended to Comfort´s blog meetup in one of their stores in Oslo. We had a great time learning about bathroom trends and news for 2012. Stylist Linda Elmin was also there to talk about bathroom styling and showed us some lovely moodboards.

 Bathroom inspiration from Comfort
Goodiebag from Comfort

It was a wonderful evening with sweet girls, cupcakes, macrons and strawberry. At the end we all got a goodiebag with lovely products, and I was also one of two lucky winners who got a gift certificates at 1000 NOK from Comfort in my bag as well! Oh, joy *smile*

Unfortunately I forgot the memory stick to my camera, so I have no pictures from the event.

Thank you Comfort and Hviit for having this blog meetup.

Outdoor furniture

Summer has definitely arrived and I can´t really put words on how lovely it is! I hope you are having the same weather where you are right now.

If you´re still looking for outdoor furniture and have a high budget *smile*, you should consider Slettvoll. Their furniture are very classic, and are known for their excellent quality.

This year they are introducing a brand new collection of outdoor furniture that are adjusted to the Scandinavian climate. The furniture can withstand harsh weather year after year, and the covers are treated so it´s also resistant to salt and pool water. Sounds great!
Give me a pool and some of their furniture, and I would gladly check it out! *smile*

Wish you all a wonderful and sunny day!

Multiple uses

Do you remember the Moroccan wall, we have out on the terrace? Well, since it has been such bad weather lately, I have taken it inside and used it in our living room. I love when I find things that has multiple uses. This wall is great in the living room as well I think.

For those who are wondering: The wall is from "Kremmerhuset".

But now that it is sunny again, it´s out again on the terrace. Something I too should be... *smile*

Keep it, and inspire each other!

I love a nice table setting, and I´m always happy when I see you are sharing pictures of a beautiful table on Stylizimo.com so I can find new inspiration...

Myke Minutter shared this wonderful table setting in their garden last week. Isn´t it just gorgeous?
She used the new "Keep It- button", and grabbed the pictures directly from her blog. That way she gets a link back to her blog underneath the picture as well. (ref. "Source")

See more wonderful table setting that you have shared here.

Reminding you all that Stylizimo and Hviit have a contest going on where you can win a professional stylist and photographer + 2 feather duvet sets from ByNord - read more about the contest here.

Kitchen details

It´s Friday and the sun is shining! What more can we ask for? After a long celebration of Norway´s National Day yesterday, I intend to have a relaxing weekend with minimal of "To Do´s".
What are your plans this weekend?

Here are a few shots of some details in our kitchen right now. I love the combination of wood, white and fresh herbs. Red onions are also quite decorative..

What do you have on your kitchen counter? Maybe you want to share some pictures on Stylizimo.com?
I´d love to get some new ideas.

Wish you all a happy weekend!

17th of May - tablesetting!

A lot of you Norwegians are probably having guests on our National Day tomorrow. A beautiful table setting is a must on a day like this, and the typical color theme would be red, white and blue as these are the colors in our flag. Today I´m showing you an alternative that I think is just as appropriate, but a little toned down. Usually the food is very colorful on this day, so a simple table setting can often be better.

Around the napkins I´ve decorated with green branches from our hedge. And I´ve use some blue flowers that we had in our garden to add some more color. Simple but very decorative I think..

I have to admit that I actually don´t have any tablecloths so I´ve used a white curtain instead. Works perfectly! The linen table runners is a DIY project I did last year.

You can see more photos of this table setting on Stylizimo.com.

Remember the moodboard I made for our patio? Well, we are getting there, and this is how it has turned out so far...

I´m quite happy with the result already, but I'm looking forward to getting the last pieces in place, so I get it the way I had planned. Now I just need a bigger patio... *smile*

More pictures to come when I´m ready.

"Lisettes Perler" has a challenge going on where she wants us to show our outside area. This is my contribution.

Dining table decoration

May is a month where we can find beautiful flowers in the garden or out in the woods. I have gathered my latest finds on a silver tray together with some tealight-holders and a bowl, so now I have something new and fresh to decorate our dining table with. Simple but very decorative.

The branch with the white flowers is stolen from our neighbour´s apple tree. It´s all about using your imagination, right? *smile*

Now I´m just waiting for our cherry tree to blossom. We missed the blooming last year, as we moved in a month later... I love cherry trees!

Workspace - a few updates

Thank you all for your friendly comments about the interview in LLAMAS´VALLEY e-magazine. It´s nice to hear that you like it and I´m very honoured to be a part of their wonderful magazine.

Since they show a picture of how it looked like in my home office a year ago, I thought I´ll show you a few pictures from today. It´s quite a change actually.

Fresh flowers from our garden (smells amazing!), makes it very nice to spend time in my favorite room. The lovely notebook is a birthday present from sweet Linda - I love it so much!

See more photos from my home office here and here.

Wish you all a wonderful Saturday! Make sure you do something FUN!

Summery feeling

A few new flowers and an olive tree is all it takes to get a summery feeling on our patio.
It´s nice to finally use our outside area again. It´s like having an extra room all of a sudden, and with summery colors and sun from a clear blue sky,  it´s actually pretty nice to spend time out there...

Our little dog Conrad is always where his ´mommy´ is..

There will be more updates from out patio soon.

Outdoor area

It´s about time to freshen it up and buy some new flowers etc. for our patio. Summer has arrived (at least for a few days here I live), and it´s about time to get rid of our yellow Easter flowers that has been around for quite some time now *smile*.

These photos are from last summer - all white and blue. I guess I´ll buy some lavender this year as well. They smell so good as well as they looks amazing.

I´d love to come up with something new and a bit more exciting on our patio though. I´m actually thinking of building a relaxing zone up there, and then move our existing furniture to our garden as we had it this time. I just have some persuasion to do...

How does your outdoor area looks like? I would love to get some inspiration. Maybe you would like to share some pictures on Stylizimo.com?

Wish you all have a sunny day!

Most popular!

Have you seen the "Most Popular" rooms on Stylizimo.com? These are the pictures that most people have viewed since we launched the new look in Dec. 2011.
What hits me when I see this overview is that almost every room is grey! Are we really that afraid of using colors? Is grey the hottest color right now?

Well, the experts say that we will see more colors from now, so I´m excited to see if the "Most Popular"- rooms on Stylizimo will change and be more colorful over time. It´s up to you I guess *smile*

Maybe you have some colorful rooms you want to share with us on Stylizimo.com?
