New lovely wallpaper!

Fargerike is now launching a new wallpaper in their trend collection called "Fort Hjort"(!) Normally I´m not very fond of patterned wallpaper, but this one I really like. Maybe it´s because of its beautiful and classic expression in a neutral color palette, or maybe it´s because of this lovely living room..

Both the design and colors can easily be combined with nuances of autumn's interior colors.
You will find the new wallpaper in Norwegian stores from 15. August 2012 (a limited edition)

New painting in 1-2-3!

It´s not often that I have time to paint, but I needed some paintings for the apartment we styled a few weeks ago, so it was time to get creative again..

The building you see is a print of Illums Bolighus in Denmark. It´s a thin gift paper that I got in their store in House of Oslo. I glued the paper to the canvas, then I painted over and around it to make it blend in... A fast and easy way to make a new decorative painting for your wall...
For the other ones I used wallpaper that I glued to large canvases. See pictures of them here.

Happy weekend!

Back to reality

Our holiday in France is over and I´m back in my "new" black office again. Well.. actually, today I´m  heading back to "House of Oslo" again, to take down the exhibition for June.  Not as fun as putting it up, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? *smile*

Here you have more pictures from my newly painted home office. I really enjoy the dramatic change it have gotten.
Do you have any painting plans this summer?

Black workspace

If you have been following me on Instagram (stylizimoblog) you know that I have been painting with the color black lately. One of the walls I have given a makeover is in my home office. The room completely changed character after getting black, and I love its new dramatic look!

I guess you all know by now that I often change the look of my office space. I think it´s inspiring to sit in new environments, and some paint is all it takes sometimes.

Shopping tips Paris - Merci

Hello everybody! How are you? I´m enjoying every single minute of our holiday in France and there is not much time (or WiFi!) for blogging I´m afraid. Today is our friends wedding day and I´m excited about their big day at the beautiful castle they have rented here in Andantes.

Anyway, when I was in Paris we went to the well known store called Merci! Have you been there? This store is a must if you´re ever in Paris. Four floors of interior heaven + some clothes. Here are some pictures that I took from the place when we were there a few days ago...

This car meets you at the entrance  - so cool!

The furniture section has a lot of temptations. Too bad I didn´t had room for any in my suitcase *smile*. There were lots of things I would like to take home with me.

Everything was beautifully displayed...

There were also three different cafés there. They all look very nice!
Great place, huh?

Okay, I have to get dressed now. You can see more pictures of Paris and the wedding trough my Instragram profile "stylizimoblog" (NinaHolst)

Sleeping like a baby in Bamboo

I have for a long time believed that I have had comfortable bedding, but that was before I got the opportunity to test the bedding from BadaBoom which is made of bamboo(!).

Quite honestly, this is one of the best bedding I've ever slept in - so soft, so comfortable. It's like lying in a hotel bed every night. I love the smooth bamboo fabric.

Badaboom was very strict on that I should say my honest opinion when I tested their bedding, but that was probably because they knew that I would love it... * smile *
Anyway, they actually have a campaign on their bedding at the moment, so find more info and prices here if you are interested.

Objektum - Industrial furniture

I just received a mail from the stylist Timea Toth who told me about her new furniture store called Objektum. If you are looking for unique industrial furniture and décor for your home, you have to take a look at her website - you will love it for sure!

I wouldn´t mind having one of these signs - I think it´s absolutely fantastic!
Did you know that neon signs are really hot these days btw? You will see a lot more of them in time to come, so just get used to it right away... *smile*

Tips: Magazines on hangers

Magazines on hangers isn´t a new idea, but when I found my new copper hangers from HAY in Amsterdam, I knew right away that I wanted to use some of them for my magazines. Since some magazines covers are so pretty I think it´s nice to use them as decoration on the wall like this. Cool, right?

Shopping in Amsterdam

Even though we were in a lot(!) of shoe stores in Amsterdam, it was interior shops that was on our main agenda this weekend. Unfortunately we had too little time to see all the ones we wanted, but I want to mention the a few that is worth a visit (that we DID have time to visit) if you´re in Amsterdam.

The Frozen Fountain - a large store filled with lots of great design!

Pols Potten - their flagship store is located in Amsterdam, and it´s an adventure to have a look.

Next to Pols Potten you have Sissy-Boy. Here you can find both clothes and home décor. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee in their nice little café area.

Options - one of my favorites! This is where I bought the Hazy Doll prints and the hangers from HAY.

Store without a home. We were actually at their opening. A cool store.

Sukha - this store is a dream. You´ll find lots of temptations in here.

Desiree behind the blog Vosges Paris has another blog called Amsterdam Next. This is her personal city guide where she collects her personal favorites, best areas and concept stores in town. You should check it out if you´re going to Amsterdam.

Hazy Dolls

New lovely prints came home with me from Amsterdam. Petra Lunenburg is a graphic designer and illustrator for fashion labels, magazines as well as for her own brand IL’L. I find her "Hazy Dolls" illustrations very cool...

A few copper hangers from HAY was also in my suitcase home from Amsterdam. It´s all about the details...*smile*. I´ll show you later how I have used them...

My big agenda for today is to find a dress for a wedding I´m attending next week (in France!) I´m starting to get a little nervous about not finding one. (at an affordable price that is...)

Have a great weekend!

De Kas - Amsterdam

Dear Melissa behind Ideas to Steal, was a fantastic guide in Amsterdam. She made sure we stayed in a cool apartment trough airbnb, that we came around safely with our bicycles (fun!), and that we visited a lot of beautiful restaurant and cafés.

On Friday we had lunch at the amazing restaurant De Kas. This place is absolutely worth a visit if you´re in town, and are looking for delicious organic food served in a stunning environment.

They have converted a unique high glass building into a restaurant and nursery. Situated in Frankendael Park, between the Rembrandt Tower and the nineteenth century facades of Watergraafsmeer, De Kas is an oasis of calm for the fifty-thousand guests who dine there each year; either in the breathtaking dining room designed by Piet Boon, or - if weather permits - outside in the herb garden.

Black it is!

Typically me is to do something totally different than I´m suppose to do! When I have hundred things on my to do list, I usually do something else that is much more fun.... Like painting!
For those of you that follow me on Instagram (stylizimoblog) have seen that I´m painting a white wall black today. I had no idea that it would make the room look bigger, and I love the contrast as well as the dramatic dramatic look the room gets.
So now I´m walking around looking for more walls to paint *smile*

Meet the Blogger - Amsterdam

What a fantastic weekend it has been in Amsterdam!  I really wish I could stay longer so I could explore more of the charming city. Time travels fast in good company, that´s for sure.
As said earlier, I went with two other Norwegian bloggers, Anette and Melissa, and they were such sweet girls and fun to hang out with.. I hope it won´t be long until next time.

Melissa, me & Anette arriving the event at Conservatorium Hotel
 @Instagram *lol ( I´m "Stylizimoblog" btw. )

The best thing about this weekend was definitely all the wonderful girls that I´ve met. I finally got to meet dear Desiree behind Vosges Paris. She was very welcoming and charming, and I totally love her personality! We had dinner together a few times, and she was also our personal shopping guide on Sunday before we went home. She showed us some amazing interior shops that I have to write more about later...

There were 120 girls at Meet the Blogger event, so I wasn´t able to talk to everybody of course, but luckily I got to know talented Frida Ramstedt - Trendenser (You should check out her new FAB magazine on iTunes btw!), as she was one of the speakers at the event. She also joined us on our shopping on Sunday, and she was one of those girls you like right away - very cute.
Another lovely woman I talked a lot with was the founder of BODIE and FOU, Karine. I have been a fan of her online shop for quite some time, so it was an honour to meet her in Amsterdam.

You can see more photos from the event "Meet the Blogger" we attended at on Saturday here if you like.
I´ll be back with more about our weekend soon - so stay tuned!
